Words, Movies, and TV Shows

Here's a cool site for us word-lovers out there: Word Spy - The Word Lovers Guide to New Words. I like this one posted in November:

And here's a few movies I want to add to my must-see list:

1. The Tree of Life
2. Margin Call
3. Melancholia
4. The Descendents

Here's my list from last year. You can see I didn't do too well!
Slumdog Millionaire
Letters from Iwo Jima
Mystic River
   (Saw! Excellent.)
The Pianist
Unforgiven
Amadeus

Inception (Saw! Excellent.)
Once
Pan's Labyrinth
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

And now I have a confession to make - I've gotten hooked on Lost. Gulp.

I've watched 2 1/2 seasons in the last month. I promise I'm usually doing something else while I'm watching so it's not totally unproductive. It's super-good and super-addictive! Beware!

I had heard (read, maybe?) that books were an important part of the series. Here's a link to a book list for Lost. I would love to read this whole list!

OK - off to watch an episode and maybe crochet! :-)

2 Buzzes...What do YOU think?:

Oh B, I am hooked on lost too and it is totally unproductive here! I 'm almost halfway through season 2. I need an intervention. Hey, if I catch up to you, we can have a marathon. Whadda ya think?

Absolutely love LOST. I have all the seasons on DVD.

I just watched Margin Call last night. It was a slow, brainiac type of movie. I had to go on wikipedia to get some background and remember it was Lehman Brothers that started the mess.

Big thumbs up for Slumdog Millionaire and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

So, if anyone wants to chat about LOST, come find me!
