Seven on Sunday

Happy Sabbath day, bloggy friends! Here's 7 for you:

1.  It's a little late, I know, but I really like this computer desktop calendar for the month of February you can get for free over at Challies. It was designed by Eric Novak of Latitude821 (Yet another site I need to grab a cup of coffee, snuggle up in front of the fireplace today, and explore!) Challies has a couple of other styles to chose from, but I liked this one best. :-)

See the Love

2.  And now for Mary's latest "Pouch Pal" she made for a friend's birthday yesterday. This is her first with hair. I think it's adorable!

3.  Here's a (sorta blurry) quick shot I took of E as she was leaving for work last night. Now that she's 18, the owner of the restaurant where she works is beginning to train her to wait tables. :-) Wouldn't you want her to be your waitress? I think she's adorable, too!

4.  Our church had it's first Saturday night service last night. We were greeters so even though we intend to stick with the Sunday services (mainly for our girls' schedules) we attended last night. It was really, really good. Although it is the exact service that will be given on Sunday, the atmosphere was a bit more relaxed and people seemed more comfortable hanging around the coffee bar and chatting afterwards. We gathered at Panera with about 5 other couples. It was a great sermon continuing our series in Exodus (should be posted here by Monday) and wonderfully sweet worship. Come join us! It's a great place.

5.  Here's a bookish blogger I came across yesterday that I think I'll be checking out more often. And - from her site I found this Book Blogs Ning group that looks promising.

6. So, now I'm not so sure what to do with my Sunday! Not having church has thrown me for a loop. Hmmm... laundry is a must. Reading - definitely! Writing - maybe. I found an old poem I never quite finished that I'm feeling a little inspired to work on. Art - possibly. Nothing particular on my mind there. I've got a good bit of work to do to be prepared for a training day tomorrow, including going shopping for snacks and ingredients for a breakfast casserole I promised the guys. (I have spoiled them terribly!)  Mmmm... let's see. I hope to be able to meet a new friend for a cup of coffee this afternoon.... maybe have a glass of wine with another friend while our boys watch the Super Bowl. A full day, but good.

7.  Ok, I'm probably the last person to see this commercial since I never watch TV, but this is truly adorable. (Again found at Challies!)

Blessings ~

1. I grabbed a love screen saver too!
2. The hair is adorable.
3. So is E. :-)
4. Sundays without worship are SO long! (like today... unfortunately, we were traveling...)
5. Billy Collins=2 thumbs up
6. I'm supposed to be doing homework right now while the rest is my family is at a SuperBowl party. Super Bowl for North Americans in Costa Rica is akin to a national holiday! (but if I finish, there might be a glass of vino in my future, too!)
7. My family LOVES The Force

Happy Sabbath, friend, and blessings abundant in the week ahead!

I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4
